
Floater Role Description
Thank you for volunteering at our annual Chanhassen Basketball Tournament. We are grateful for your dedication to our program. The below is intended to give you an idea of what you can expect during your shift as FLOATER
Upon arrival please find and introduce yourself to the facility Site Director
(Please Arrive15 minutes before your shifts starts at your assigned school)
As a Floater your goal is to support the facility Site Director in any way they may need. Some activities you can expect to be involved with include:
- Assisting the ushers, safety/cleaning volunteers as needed
- Ensuring courts are clean and ready for games (i.e. sanitizing, sweeping, picking up trash, etc.)
- Backfilling or supporting Time clocks and Score Keepers as needed
- Supporting Site Director or Score General with collecting game information to post on brackets
- Helping players, coaches, parents with any issues or assistance they may need
- Coordinating Lost & Found
Other responsibilities sometime include:
- Backfilling Concessions as needed
- Delivering or picking up food to/from any of the tournament locations, vendors
- Preparing food for concession or stocking items
