Runner Role Description

(Food Runner, Delivery, Re-Stock)

 

Thank you for volunteering at our annual Chanhassen Basketball Tournament.  We are grateful for your dedication to our program.  The below is intended to give you an idea of what you can expect during your shift as Food Runner, Delivery, Stock volunteer

Upon arrival please find and introduce yourself to the facility Concessions Lead

(Please Arrive15 minutes before your shifts starts at your assigned school)

Please note:  for this role you MUST be able to drive and have access to a (larger) vehicle to transport items across our different facilities.  You must be willing to drive/deliver regardless of weather and driving conditions.

As a Runner your goal is to support the Concession and Site Leader Lead in any way they may need.  Some activities you can expect to be involved with include: 

  • Delivering or picking up items from different locations/gyms being utilized by the tournament; expect to make several trips during your shift

  • Preparing food to be delivered

  • Picking up food at vendors

  • Helping stock concession stands

  • Assisting with any other concession related duties as requested

  • Delivering items to other locations at a moment’s notice, regardless of weather

  • Taking direction from the Concessions Coordinator, Site Leader or other Tournament staff to keep Concession and other tournament activities on track
